The NWR Board provided NWR management with the mandate to proactively negotiate with NAPWU on this important matter based upon what the company was able to offer to its valuable employees. It was very pleasing that both parties managed to agree on some critical matters. Both parties agreed to a 5% increase for employees within Job Grades A to D 2 for the financial year 2015/2016 effective from 1 November 2015. It was also agreed that a skills audit and job evaluation would be done in order to inform future salary increments.
