Windhoek, 1 June 2016 - The Board of Directors of Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) hereby wishes to refer to the newspaper report in the New Era of 27 May 2016 on page 6 titled “two employees arrested for mal-texting NWR boss”.

The Board of Directors of NWR wishes to state that it is unfortunate that allegations of this nature are made against two employees of NWR. Since the matter is sub judice the Board of Directors cannot by law comment on the allegations and all what the Board can state at this stage is that the two employees implicated being Hilma Naambo Johannes and Japhet Shikesho who were arrested and charged with crimen injuria have been suspended pending internal investigation and disciplinary action if justified.

Furthermore, the Board of Directors hereby wishes to inform the tourism industry and the public at large that these allegations have not at all negatively affected the business of NWR. Our dedicated team will continue to operate with the necessary professionalism and as a Board we are in full support of our Managing Director and her team.
